How to play the violin: basic techniques of the game

New post on how to play the violin. Earlier you became acquainted with the device of the violin and its acoustic features, but today the focus is on the violin playing technique. The violin is rightfully considered the queen of music. The instrument has a beautiful sophisticated shape and delicate velvet timbre. In eastern countries, a person who knows how to play the violin well is equated with God. A good violinist, not just playing the violin, he makes the instrument sing. The highlight of playing a musical instrument is staging. The musician’s hands should be soft, gentle, but at the same time strong, and the fingers should be elastic, tenacious: relaxed without slackness and constricted without convulsion. THE RIGHT SELECTION OF THE INSTRUMENT It is necessary to take into account the age and physiological characteristics of the novice musician. There are such sizes of violins: 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 4/4. Young violinists are better off starting at 1/16 or 1/8, while adults can choose a comfortable violin for themselves. The tool for children does not have to be large, it causes difficulties in staging and playing. All forces go to support the instrument and, as a result, clasped hands. When playing the violin in position I, the left hand should be bent at the elbow at an angle of 45 degrees. When choosing a bridge, the size of the violin and the physiology of the student are taken into account. Strings need to be bought with chords, their structure should be soft. TECHNIQUE OF THE GAME ON THE VIOLIN FOR THE LEFT HAND Setting: the brush is at eye level, the hand is slightly turned to the left; 1st phalanx of the thumb and 2nd phalanx of the middle finger hold the neck of the violin, forming a “ring”; U-turn of the elbow joint 45 degrees; a straight line from the elbow to the knuckles: the hand does not fall and does not protrude; four fingers participate in the game: index, middle, ring, little fingers (1, 2. 3, 4), they should be rounded and “look” at the strings with small pillows; the finger is placed on the pillow with a clear blow, pressing the string to the bar. HOW TO PLAY ON THE VIOLIN – Tricks FOR THE LEFT HAND Fluency depends on the speed of putting and removing fingers on the string. Vibration – giving a beautiful sound to long notes. ulnar – long rhythmic swaying of the left hand from the shoulder to the fingertip; carpal – a short sway of the hand; Finger – quick swaying of the phalanx of the finger. Transitions to positions are performed by smoothly sliding the thumb along the neck of the violin. Trill and grace – quick beat of the main note. Flageolet – easy pressing of a string with your little finger. THE TECHNIQUE OF THE GAME ON THE VIOLIN FOR THE RIGHT HANDS Setting: the bow is held at the pad by the small pillow and the 2nd phalanx of the middle finger, forming a “ring”; 2 phalanges of the index and ring fingers, and a little finger pad; the bow moves perpendicular to the strings, between the stand and the fingerboard. It is necessary to achieve a melodious sound without a creak and whistle; the game with a bow. Movement down from the pads (LF) – the hand is bent at the elbow and hand, a small push with the index finger and the hand gradually straightens. Upward movement from the tip (HF) – the hand from the shoulder to the knuckles forms an almost straight line, a small push with the ring finger and the hand gradually bends: brush play – the wave-like movement of the brush with the index and ring fingers. HOW TO PLAY ON THE VIOLIN – BASIC TOUCHES To the child – one note per bow, smooth movement. Legato – a cohesive, smooth sound of two or more notes. Spiccato – a short intermittent stroke, performed with a brush in the woofer bow. Sotiye – duplicated spiccato. Tremolo – performed with a brush. Short, long repetition of one note in the treble bow. Staccato – a sharp stroke, bouncing the bow in the bass in one place. Martle – quick accented bow holding. Markato is a short martle. TECHNIQUES FOR THE LEFT AND RIGHT HANDS Pizzicato – a pinch of a string. Most often performed with the right, but sometimes the left hand. Double notes and chords – several fingers of the left hand are simultaneously placed on the fingerboard, the bow is held along two strings.
