The epistolary heritage of composers is a separate literary phenomenon. Very often, literary works were for creators of musical masterpieces an additional means of clarifying the musical language in order to give the listener the key to an adequate perception of music. Moreover, the musicians created the verbal text with the same passion and dedication as the musical one. The inscription tells that there are two people in these walls – the teacher Franz Grubber and the priest Joseph More in a single impulse wrote the beautiful hymn “Silent night, wonderful night …”, receiving inspiration from the Creator of the worlds.
